We acknowledge the Lord Jesus Christ as the Head of the Body of Christ and therefore Head of our organization. We do our best to work together with the Lord to follow his lead, and recognize that we are all servant-leaders under his Lordship. We do not depend upon human personalities and charismatic individuals to further our ministry goals.

God’s heart for relationship and community, as demonstrated through His use of the spiritual One Body, is best demonstrated in a practical sense through the principle of “Team Ministry.” We believe this principle is typified throughout the Scriptures. The concept of Team Ministry allows a variety of perspectives to be considered in the decision making process, consistent with the belief that “in the multitude of counselors there is safety” (Pro. 11:14 KJV).

Therefore, at each level of ministry governance and administration we rely upon individuals working together as a team, employing consensus decision-making as much as possible. We find that in hearing every voice we come closest to the heart of the Lord Jesus as he works within his Body.

Board of Directors
The Board of Directors consists of five members. Their primary responsibility is to chart the direction of the ministry. They hold the final authority for the ministry’s spiritual oversight and establishment of doctrinal positions. The Board also makes fiscal decisions, sets of general policies, and establishes ministry priorities. Board members serve in terms of two years, and are divided into two groups, with one group of directors being elected at each annual meeting of the directors. Directors can be replaced by consensus of the existing members. The Board works as a team, generally deciding matters on the basis of consensus. They typically meet via phone conference every two weeks and face to face at least twice a year. The annual meeting of the Board occurs in January in a retreat format.

President
The President presides at all meetings of the Board of Directors. The President, subject to the general oversight of the Board of Directors, manages and supervises all of the affairs of the ministry. Duties specifically include the daily spiritual oversight of the ministry, the setting of the tone and vision of the ministry, and the protection of the non-profit status of the ministry. The president keeps abreast of trends in the Christian Church, oversees the finances of the ministry by establishing budgets, and is responsible for final oversight of all the events and products. The president also pursues special projects, areas of new interest and development, and areas of special concern. The President works hand in hand with the Chief Executive Officer.

Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
The Chief Executive Officer is responsible for the oversight of the administration and operations of the ministry. The CEO reports directly to the President and is responsible to keep the Board of Directors abreast of the daily operational status of the ministry. In this capacity, he serves as liaison between the Board and staff and is responsible for the interpretation and implementation of ministry policy. This includes the creation of corporate systems and processes, development of procedures, performance standards, and methods of accountability. The CEO works closely with an Executive Team who is comprised of key department heads. His daily duties include the administrational oversight of the Personnel, Finance, Publications, Fellowship Community, International Outreach, Events, Camp Vision, and special projects.

Home Office Manager
The Home Office Manager reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer and is responsible for the daily oversight of the Home Office. His duties include the direct supervision of the various Home Office departments that includes staffing, volunteer coordination, reception, data input, computer systems, information technology, purchasing, shipping and receiving, inventory control, and marketing.

Executive Assistant
The Executive Assistant reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer. He is responsible for the handling of the daily Fellowship Community correspondence, assisting with International Outreach, database updates as they relate to the Fellowship Community and International Community. Additionally, he assists the CEO and President on special assignments and projects.

Committees
The ministry places heavy reliance on the use of committees for their expertise and input as it relates to focus areas. There are two types of committees, “Standing” and “Ad hoc.” Standing Committees are permanent in nature and meet on a regular basis. Ad hoc committees are formed for a particular need and are dissolved or suspended at the completion of their task.
