If you come to the "Home Office" of Spirit & Truth International, you will find what is a very small group of paid staff compared to the volume of work there is to do. The staff love one another deeply, so the atmosphere is light and congenial, but at the same time the pace is often frenetic. Anyone lingering in front of the copy machine may be trampled.
Each staff member knows that the work he or she is doing is vitally important, because we are in the "business" of saving and healing lives. Each also knows that the already overwhelming workload will only increase until the Lord appears. And that is why we love our wonderful volunteers so much! Here is a little about those currently serving "behind the scenes" and what they are doing. See our Volunteer Home Page!
First, there are a number of local saints who come in from time to time to help out, usually with our never ending mailings, but also with other projects, often on the eve of a major event. Some of the young men who now work full or part time began as volunteers, and proved their mettle.
Spirit & Truth is reaching out around the world every day, especially by means of our three websites, and that means we need our work translated into many languages. If you go to our TruthOrTradition.com website, you will see a growing number of articles in a growing number of languages.
That is because of the work of Lilian Campbell and Mara Ginocchio (Spanish), Moshe Amegashie and Kael and Babi Lulekamu (French), Jerzy Madej (Polish), Benjie Casido, Willie Matub, and Rudy Odarve (Cebuano), Mina Hacker (Korean), Walter & Berit Williams (Swedish), Andrei Dolbin and Avel & Natasha Eliseyev (Russian), and Mbele Mampasi (Portuguese).
Bob Maffit (pictured above) lives in North Street, Michigan, about seven hours from the office. As retired military, he devotes more than 40 hours a week to meticulously going through each of our books and other written materials to be sure they are as free from typos and other errors as possible. This necessitates his personal presence about once or twice a month, so he drives to Indianapolis regularly. His work has been invaluable.
John Lynn edits most of the written materials that go out, writes articles for the websites, answers many of the emails generated by the websites, and, along with Bob Wassung of Connecticut, is working with John Schoenheit on a forthcoming book on the administrations in Scripture, focusing on the Sacred Secret.
If, as you read, you are moved to get involved with something, just let us know. We are always open to giving others the opportunities to serve.
