What started with 33 teens in 2000 as a summer Bible study camp has now become a premiere event on the STF calendar. The Teens and Twenties Camp combines many things into a magnificent overall experience for those who attend. A typical day at camp has praise and worship, Bible study, fellowship, personal growth, patriotism, recreation and of course, fabulous food. The goal of Teen Camp is to help people become grounded in their faith in Jesus and move ahead in the process of becoming like him in their daily lives.

Morning starts with campers having some personal time to get up and get ready for the day, then everyone has breakfast, where fellowship and food are topped off with announcements and perhaps a camp song or two. Then everyone gathers around the flagpole for a short flag ceremony that includes a reading from the Bible and a reading about the history of our country. After flag-raising, the whole camp sings to the Lord in a rousing praise and worship service. Then the campers go in groups, which are set up by age or ability, for Bible Study or other areas of Christian development.

After lunch the campers have free time for a couple hours, and busy themselves with games, swimming, or just hanging out with their friends, both old and new. Experience has taught us that it is during the free time that many of the friendships that provide mutual support and encouragement throughout the year are formed. After free time the campers participate in small groups of campers their own age and sex. Although the small group leaders have material to cover, anything that comes up for discussion is fair game, and thus it is during small groups that many campers get personal questioned answered, get prayer or other ministering, and share how what they are learning is affecting them.

After dinner there may be any number of activities, but usually there is more praise and worship, and teachings of the Word of God. The evening closes with a campfire, during which campers are encouraged to share what is going on in their lives, what they are learning, and how they plan to apply it.

Camp ends in a flurry of emotions: reluctant good-byes and hugs mixed with the excitement of seeing family and friends back home, and being resolved to maintain a Christian lifestyle throughout the year. Each camper is provided with a list of camp participants, and many of them keep in touch with their friends throughout the year via email and IM, looking forward to camping again next summer.
