While using my phone I was thinking about what a pain fingerprints can be. They leave oily smudges on my phone, ipad, and every other smooth surface we touch.  But fingerprints are really cool too. Everybody has them and they are clear evidence of our personal individuality and uniqueness.

Just as a detective can prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that a particular person was at the scene of a crime, so too we can learn much about God by the presence of His fingerprints” throughout creation. In the same way that the potter leaves his fingerprints in his works of clay, God has also left evidence of His existence, His fingerprints so to speak on all of creation. The physical world, its design and magnificence all reflect the spiritual realities of God, His ways, and His nature. The next time you have time to take in the beauty of nature or the night sky, try to see if you can see His fingerprints. If you look hard enough, you’ll see it there.

For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities–his eternal power and divine nature–have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.” (Rom 1:20 NIV)
