Put poison on a fancy dinner plate, and poison is still poison. Eat garbage long enough and you will think it tastes good. Listen to slander, gossip, and poisonous words long enough, and you will start to think they are true. Be careful of the company you keep and the words you listen to, eventually they will make their way into your heart.
Pro 4:23 “Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life.”
Pro 26:22-24 “The words of a gossip are like choice morsels; they go down to a man’s inmost parts. Like a coating of glaze over earthenware are fervent lips with an evil heart. A malicious man disguises himself with his lips, but in his heart he harbors deceit.”
